Man drowns at Katepwa Park

Fort Qu'Appelle RCMP have recovered the body of a 26-year-old man who drowned on the afternoon of Saturday, July 28 at Katepwa Provincial Park. The coroner has ruled the man's death was accidental.

Fort Qu'Appelle RCMP have recovered the body of a 26-year-old man who drowned on the afternoon of Saturday, July 28 at Katepwa Provincial Park. The coroner has ruled the man's death was accidental. Witnesses said they saw the man struggling after walking too far into the water about 20 metres from shore. Numerous people tried to rescue him but were unsuccessful.

Fort Qu'Appelle Fire and Rescue along with Fort Qu'Appelle RCMP Underwater Recovery Team member were brought in to search for the man, whose name is not being released.
