The City of Yorkton will submit four names to receive Meritorious Service Awards from the Saskatchewan Urban Municipalities Association (SUMA) this year.
The SUMA Awards Banquet will be held in January of 2012 in Regina. As in previous years, the City has endeavoured to recognize employees who have provided in excess of 20 years of dedicated service to the City of Yorkton, detailed a report circulated to the regular meeting of City Council Monday.
There are presently 35 employees with 20 years or more of service and 23 of these employees have previously attended the SUMA Banquet.
Council unanimously approved an Administration recommendation to submit the names of Mavis Lutz, Wayne Esopenko, Toosh McBride and Brian Stanicki, for this year's awards.
