The Kamsack RCMP and Swan River RCMP located missing Dominican tourist Santos Nunez on September 15. Nunez was found in a field on the Saskatchewan/Manitoba Border just south of Thunderhill which is located just northwest of Benito, Manitoba. He was treated for dehydration prior to being detained on warrants issued by the Canada Border Service Agency.
Nunez was subsequently cleared of any suspicion relating to violation of immigration laws.
Mr. Nunez arrived in Canada on a visitor visa two days previous from the Dominican Republic.
During the second day of his visit he jumped from a moving vehicle and willingly left his party and ran into the bush after complaining of stomach pains near the community of Arran.
Police continue to investigate the reason behind Nunez's flight.
Combines sabotaged
The Melville and Ituna RCMP are requesting the public's assistance in solving the following crime.
On September 16, 2011, RCMP responded to a parcel of farmland north of Jasmin, SK where suspect(s) had spiked numerous canola swaths with large pieces of metal. When the crop was being combined, two different combines picked up the metal, which resulted in tens of thousands of dollars in damage to the combines.

Assault at First Nation
On September 18, 2011 at approximately 12:30 am, members of the Punnichy RCMP responded to the beer gardens at the Muskowekwan First Nation rodeo grounds on a report of a male being hit in the head with a beer bottle.
Lestock EMS transported the male victim to the All Nations Healing Hospital in Fort Qu'Appelle where RCMP learned the victim also sustained a stab wound to his abdomen in addition to lacerations to his face. He was later transported to the Regina General Hospital due to extreme blood loss.
The victim's injuries, although serious, are not life-threatening. Alcohol was a factor in the incident and the matter remains under investigation.
Pedestrian seriously injured
On September 17, 2011 at approximately 7:00 am, the Punnichy RCMP responded to a complaint of an unconscious 38-year-old male with serious injuries who appeared to have been struck by a motor vehicle on the Gordon First Nation. The male was taken to the Regina General hospital with serious and life-threatening injuries.
The vehicle driver, an adult male, was located at the scene, arrested, and subsequently charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm, drive while disqualified, and assault causing bodily harm. The accused has been remanded and was scheduled to appear in court in Punnichy on Tuesday.
Fire on First Nation
On September 15, 2011, at approximately 3:05 pm, Punnichy RCMP responded to a complaint of a fire at the Community Centre on the Kawacatoose First Nation. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. At the time of the fire, construction on the roof was being completed. There were no injuries. However, extensive property damage was sustained. Investigation is ongoing.
