(Correction in age - our apologies) Sincere Sympathy from Dubuc and community goes to the family of Ted Ellwood who passed away Fri., June 29 at the age of 77 at St Anthony's Hospital in Esterhazy. He leaves to mourn: his wife, Margaret and her extended family, his brother, Lorne Ellwood in the Esterhazy Centennial Special Care Home and his sister, Shirley Wickberg of Whitewood and both their families.
Daphne and Neil Meunier of Esteven spent a couple days camping in Dubuc while visiting with friends and family. They attended the luncheon held in memory of Ted Ellwood on Friday. Daphne and granddaughter, Alexis Wenzel from Medicine Hat, were also out of town guests at coffee row on Saturday morning.
Braiden, Larissa and Austin Clark, children of Stacey (Amber) Clark are spending some of their summer holidays with Grandma Sharon Clark. Larissa accompanied Grandma Sharon to coffee row on Saturday morning and met a new friend, Alexis.
Margie and Ed Oldham of Regina were at their home in Dubuc for the weekend. They attended the memorial funeral luncheon for their neighbour, Ted Ellwood and Saturday morning coffee row. They enjoyed a drive to Crooked Lake and a visit with some of the campers.
Several local couples are camping at Sunset Beach, Crooked Lake for the summer season: Horacheks, Talbots, Ducheks, Bawdens, Nielsens, Hershmillers, Toplisses. If there is no one at home when you stop by, check out the beach.
Jennifer Gibson of Estevan was a weekend visitor with friends Terra and Shane Talbot, Ashalee and Riley at their camper at Sunset Beach.
Ron and Natalie (Maga) Read from Richmond, BC spent a week with her grandparents, Earle and Nina Moller. Ron and Natalie were coffee row visitors renewing acquaintances with the regulars.
The monthly potluck supper was a delicious BBQ this month. The salads were bountiful and the desserts were mouth-watering. Over three dozen enjoyed a meal out with friends. Out of town visitors were welcomed: Sharon Tabbernor, Spy Hill; Phyllis and Ed Freed, Yorkton; Braiden, Austin and Larissa Clark, Clavet; and Connor and Joshua Leitch, Calgary, AB who, incidentally, won the door prize (cookies). Susan Powell was the lucky 50-50 winner.
Get well wishes go out to Ervin Johnson. We hope you are feeling much better after your short stay in hospital.
Connor and Joshua Leitch, sons of David and Laurie, are spending time with grandparents, Diane and Marvin Horachek. They accompanied Grandpa Marv to the potluck supper on Wednesday. The boys enjoy the Quad and spending time camping at Sunset Beach.
