Murder in Melville

The Melville/Ituna RCMP report a fatal stabbing at a residence on Toronto Street, Melville, Saskatchewan. RCMP and the Melville Emergency Medical Service (EMS) were dispatched to the residence at 4:23 AM on Saturday July 24th, 2010.

The Melville/Ituna RCMP report a fatal stabbing at a residence on Toronto Street, Melville, Saskatchewan. RCMP and the Melville Emergency Medical Service (EMS) were dispatched to the residence at 4:23 AM on Saturday July 24th, 2010. At the residence they found a 60-year-old male deceased at the scene. An 86-year-old female was also treated for stab wounds and taken to the Melville hospital where she remains in stable condition.

The RCMP Melville/Ituna Detachment and F Division Major Crime Unit - South has charged 55-year-old Gary Wayne Ross of Melville, Saskatchewan with second degree murder and aggravated assault in relation to the incident. He appeared in Melville Provincial Court on July 26 and was remanded into custody until an appearance in Yorkton Court on July 27.

The RCMP Major Crime Unit - South and Melville/Ituna Detachment continue this investigation with the assistance of the Yorkton and Regina Forensic Identification Sections, Yorkton General Investigation Section and the Regina RCMP Police Dog Service.Charge laid in Muskowekwan death

The RCMP Major Crime Unit - South has charged 18-year-old Everett Tirrel Bruce of the Muskowekwan First Nation with First Degree murder in relation to the July 15th homicide of 81-year-old William "Lawrence" Pambrun, also from the Muskowekwan First Nation.

The RCMP Major Crime Unit South continue this investigation with the assistance of the Yorkton Forensic Identification Section, Yorkton General Investigation Section, Regina RCMP Police Dog Service, and the RCMP Southern Enforcement Response Team (SERT).

Everett Bruce appeared in Regina Provincial Court on Monday, July 26, 2010.
