"This is a terrific project," said Brad Schultz, President of Prairie Co-operative. "We have many members who attend the Regional Health Centre for medical services, and we know our current and future members will benefit from a new hospital. Who would not want to see planning start for a new regional hospital," he continued.
"We have operations in Melville, Lipton, Lemberg and Qu'Appelle and with over 5,000 active members of Prairie co-op we know that improved local healthcare services will benefit many of our members and the people in the communities where we have operations" continued Mr. Schultz. "Besides, this is a natural fit for us as Co-ops are really all about community, and investing back into the community."
"This is a wonderful donation and it comes at a great time," said Ross Fisher, Executive Director of The Health Foundation. "We have had a terrific reception from the business community since we started raising funds to develop a conceptual plan. The Prairie
Co-op is the 50th business make a contribution to this plan."
"With this donation we have raised $138,000 toward the conceptual plan. Our goal is to raise $180,000, and we hope to have that complete this summer," Continued Mr. Fisher.
