As of Tuesday morning, RCMP have not been successful in locating a man reported to have fallen into the Whitesand River on September 14.
Canora RCMP were called to the Canora Dam east of town over the noon hour last Tuesday. A witness had seen a 22-year-old male, whose name has not been released, fall into the river.
Police described the water conditions as being at high levels with a strong current.
A search of the river and surrounding banks by officers from the
Canora and Kamsack detachments, the RCMP Police Dog Unit, the RCMP Underwater Recovery Team, and local Canora Search and Rescue volunteers had turned up nothing by the following day.
No updates on the case have been released since last Wednesday.
