The North American Occupational Safety and Health (NAOSH) Week is an annual, continent-wide event where employers, employees, general public and all partners in occupational health and safety collaborate to promote injury and illness prevention in the workplace.

On April 23 an event was held in the city at the Kinsmen Arena.Organizer’s included Dustin Brears (EMW), Erin Heimbecker (EMW), Brian Hilderman (RH Electric), Crystal Riffel (City of Yorkton), Matt Charney (City of Yorkton), Ryan Lenouail (Logan Stevens), and  Chris Wyatt (Yorkton Plumbing & Heating). Approximately 150 people attended including local trades, high schools, fire department and other local organizations. Free hotdog and drinks were served  and $150.00 in donations were collected and sent to Paws and Claws
