The RCMP has charged a Yorkton man and woman with cocaine trafficking after executing a search warrant on a residence in the city.
Christopher Sharpe (32) is charged with one count each trafficking and possession for the purpose of trafficking. Tannis Sharpe (29) faces one count of possession for the purpose.
In addition to a “substantial amount” of coke, the search yielded an undisclosed amount of cash and other trafficking paraphernalia.
Yorkton municipal staff sergeant Jeff Simpson would not elaborate on the quantity of cocaine saying only that it was significant and enough to support a trafficking prosecution.
Police released the pair on a promise to appear in provincial court January 30, 2017.
