Since September, over one hundred people, ages children to seniors, from Yorkton, Canora, Melville, Springside, Ebenezer and many surrounding areas, have been volunteering (an estimated 500-plus hours) and preparing to perform The Promise.
The Promise was originally developed by Word Music in cooperation with Kingdom Development Company from the original script by Jan Dargatz and with music produced by Gary Rhodes. Narrated by a grandfather and his grandchildren, the story connects the family's present day events to biblical times.
Straight out of the pages of scripture, the narrators and audience witness the birth, life, death, resurrection and triumphant ascension of Jesus Christ. Utilizing an award-winning musical score, and a cast and crew of over 100, The Promise is sure to be the most memorable live theater experience.
All proceeds from this production go to the Habitat for Humanity Faith Build, the first one ever in Saskatchewan!
This is an opportunity to bring friends and family to experience on stage the magnitude of Christ's message which will stir the heart and thrill the soul.
Performers will take the stage five times:
Thursday March 6, Friday March 7, Saturday March 8, all at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday March 9 at 2:00 p.m. with an additional performance at 7:30 p.m.
