Police crack break, enter and theft ring

Yorkton RCMP have made four arrests related to a three-day crime wave of break, enter and theft in the city. Since May 25th, 2013, Yorkton Municipal Detachment has responded to 28 complaints of break and enter or theft-related offences.

Yorkton RCMP have made four arrests related to a three-day crime wave of break, enter and theft in the city.

Since May 25th, 2013, Yorkton Municipal Detachment has responded to 28 complaints of break and enter or theft-related offences. As a result of this investigation, four individuals have been arrested and a search warrant has been executed. One adult male and three youth males have been charged with numerous counts of break and enter, theft under $5,000.00 and mischief under $5,000.00.

The adult and one of the youths have been remanded in custody until they are scheduled to appear in Yorkton Provincial Court on Monday June 3 at 9:30 a.m.

The other two youths have been released from custody and are scheduled to appear in Yorkton Provincial Court on Monday June 24 at 9:30 a.m.

Yorkton Municipal RCMP have recovered several yet unidentified items which are believed to have been stolen during the crime spree and are asking the citizens of Yorkton to check their property and vehicles for any missing or damaged items.
