Police investigate sudden death

Yorkton police are investigating a sudden death that occurred in the early hours of Tuesday morning. 

 

At approximately 5:15 a.m. September 13, Yorkton municipal RCMP and EMS responded to a report of an unresponsive person on Wellington Park Road in Yorkton’s northwest end.

 

In a press release, the only description of the person given was “adult male.”

 

He was transported to Yorkton Regional Health Centre where he was pronounced dead by emergency responders.

 

At press time, the individual had not been identified, F Division media relations stated. 

 

Throughout the morning Tuesday, the road was cordoned off from Gladstone Avenue to just past Waterloo road while local RCMP, RCMP Major Crime Unit South, Forensic Identification and General Investigation Sections and RCMP Collision Reconstruction investigated.

 

Media relations did not even say whether or not the death is being treated as suspicious or accidental.
