Potash Corporation of Saskatchewan Inc. (PotashCorp) helped make miracles happen by donating $250,000 to the Kinsmen Foundation during their annual 20-hour Telemiracle weekend telethon.
The Kinsmen Foundation, through individual and organizational donations to Telemiracle, assists people in acquiring special needs equipment and access to medical treatment throughout Saskatchewan. The Foundation has been active in the province since 1971 and continues to emphasize that it is the ability of an individual that is important, not the disability.
"We're proud to continue our support of the Kinsmen Foundation's Telemiracle," said Denita Stann, PotashCorp's Vice President of Investor and Public Relations. "We would like to thank our local Kinsmen and Kinettes, and all the residents of Saskatchewan who pledged their support during the telethon, for making a tangible difference in the lives of people with special needs."
"Telemiracle and PotashCorp have the same underlying objective: to improve the quality of life of people in Saskatchewan. Two of the focus areas of our company's community investment program are health and wellness and community building - the Telemiracle is a big part of both in our province," added Stann.
The presentation of PotashCorp's cheque was made live on March 2 in Regina during the broadcast of Telemiracle 38.
