Saskatchewan continues to post new records this year, with an all-time record for exports in the month of October. In October 2011, exports were up 54.1 per cent over October 2010, the highest percentage increase in the nation, and well ahead of the 13.8 per cent recorded nationally.

"Records have already been set this year for population and soaring exports again prove that our economy is performing extremely well," Enterprise Minister Jeremy Harrison said. "Saskatchewan has the ability to help feed and power the world, and now our province is moving forward to become a leader on the global stage."

Exports for the first 10 months of 2011 totalled $24.6 billion, up by 25.1 per cent over last year.

"We are on track to break an annual record with exports, and the credit for that goes to the dedicated entrepreneurs and workers of the province," Harrison said. "Saskatchewan is producing goods that provide for a better quality of life for people around the globe and we are proud to do our part to make this world a better place."
