RCMP seeking public assistance

The RCMP is seeking the public's assistance in apprehending a 28-year-old fugitive. Adam Cote is wanted for aggravated assault, assault causing bodily harm, breach of an undertaking and failing to attend court.

The RCMP is seeking the public's assistance in apprehending a 28-year-old fugitive.

Adam Cote is wanted for aggravated assault, assault causing bodily harm, breach of an undertaking and failing to attend court. Cote was initially arrested for assault causing bodily harm in an incident ivolving a 19-year-old woman in November 2013. He was later released from custody, but failed to make his court appearance on June 10.

On July 12, police issued new charges of aggravated assault and breach of an undertaking related to a new incident at a residence on the Cote First Nation, but have been unable to apprehend Cote.

Investigators believe the suspect is in the Kamsack or Yorkton areas and are asking for information leading to his arrest.

Cote is described as approximately 5'11" weighing 175 pounds and he has several tattoos. RCMP advise the public not to confront Cote, but to contact with information the Kamsack detachment or Crime Stoppers with any information on his whereabouts.
