The Yorkton Film Festival will be celebrating 65 years next May.

In 1947, volunteers established Yorkton's International Film Festival in a city many considered too small, too isolated, for a major documentary competition. Next year, that festival will celebrate its 65th anniversary, a milestone representing 65 years of determination and audacity. More details about the event (May 24 -27, 2012) will be released as they become available.

For the celebration, I am researching and writing a history of the festival. I am having difficulty, however, with the identification of some of the people in the photograph. If you know these people or if you can identify the place where the photo was taken, please contact the Yorkton Film Festival office at 306.782.7077 or email [email protected]

Festival 2012 is a celebration of Yorkton's audacity and determination. Plan to be part of the festivities.
