The photo from Bill and Joyce Anaka's Collection show women modeling the latest fashions in swim suits at Gunn's Beach, circa 1920. The suits, which were "branded" with a capital "G" could be rented at Gunn's Beach Store on the south shore. They could be rented by the hour or by the day. The favourite colour for these swim fashions appeared to be navy blue. There were no organized swimming lessons in those years at the lake. People just learned from those who did know how to swim. It was ideal swimming area with it sandy beaches and shallow water.
