Local automotive dealership Terry Ortynsky's Royal Ford is this year's provincial winner of the Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce ABEX Service Award.

Royal Ford was chosen for the award from among four other finalists at an awards dinner in Saskatoon on November 19.

"It's a real honor," said Terry Ortynsky, owner of Royal Ford.

"It's all about our associates, who really put their hearts and souls into serving the customers. They really go out of their way to try and do what really matters for our customers."

The Service Award, according to the Chamber, "goes to a business demonstrating exceptional performance in providing quality customer service." It was one of 12 awards given out by the provincial organization this year.

ABEX winners are chosen on the basis of nomination packages assembled and submitted by the nominees themselves.

Terry Ortynsky's Royal Ford, wrote the chamber, "has centered its business practices around their customers since its inception in 1985," and "focuses on developing a personal relationship with each customer."

"We have a very loyal customer base," Ortynsky said, "and it starts with listening to the customer and what's important to them, and trying to meet that need."
