Each month a male and a female student is selected as the SHHS Saint of the Month. Saint of the Month students are nominated by staff and students of SHHS. The selection is based on: Demonstrating Christian Values, School work, School Involvement, Leadership, and Community Involvement.
Tamara Butchko shows kindness towards others. She has an enchanting smile and an incandescent personality that makes others smile as well. Tamara is very mature for her age and knows the difference between right and wrong. She demonstrates her wisdom in classes every day and is very knowledgeable about the world. Tamara puts a good effort into all her classes and maintains a 90% plus average. She is respectful of all her teachers and is one of the hardest working students at SHHS. Tamara learns from any mistake she might make. She plays on the volleyball, basketball and curling teams. Tamara dances competitively for about 10 hours per week. She works at Dairy Queen and at Dance Innovations as an assistant teacher. Tamara was a leader on the junior volleyball team. She teaches dance classes to small children and all of the children look up to her at the studio. She also teaches her peers the value of life and gives great school and life advice. Tamara attends St. Gerard’s parish.
Kade Johnson is a polite and respectful towards everyone around him. He is always smiling and has lots of friends. Kade is an honour roll student, who is in AP math. He gets most of his work done on time and is always willing to answer questions. In soccer academy he is a talented athlete and does very well. He is on the golf, volleyball, basketball and badminton teams. Kade is “famous” for his amazing effort and performance in golf. He has worked at Deer Park Golf Course and SportChek. Kade is the male president of the SRC and attends church at St. Gerard’s and St. Mary’s.
