A Farm Safety Day was held last Tuesday with 212 Grade 6 students attending from the Good Spirit School Division and Christ the Teacher Catholic School Division. Schools included; Columbia, Dr. Brass, M.C. Knoll, Springside, St. Alphonse, St. Mary’s, St. Michael’s, and St. Paul’s. More than 30 volunteers assisted in the Safety Day, which included instruction on PTO, water, fire, lawn equipment and similar areas of safety. Major Sponsors of this Provincial Initiative Program are: SAASE (Sask. Association of Agricultural Societies & Exhibitions), FCC (Farm Credit Canada), C.I.F. (Communities Initiative Fund), Yorkton Co-op and the Yorkton Exhibition Association.
