Each month a male and a female student is selected as the SHHS Saint of the Month. Saint of the Month students are nominated by staff and students of SHHS. The selection is based on:
Demonstrating Christian Values, School work, School Involvement, Leadership, and Community Involvement.
Leta is always happy to help teachers and students whenever she can and is always willing to share her smile. She does her work with enthusiasm and creativity. Leta has been on the honour roll and received subject awards for her hard work. She always puts 100% into her assignments and projects. Her school involvement includes: SRC, soccer, yearbook editor, UROCK, curling, Saint of the Month committee and participating in school spirit days. Leta was a great role model at SLC in Meadow Lake, she is involved with Girl Guides and traveled to Ecuador this past summer to help build a school, and she is a member of St. Gerard's parish, where she leads children's liturgy.
Mitchell is always full of energy, is kind to others and loves to participate in school spirit days. He does well in his classes, working hard to get good marks and includes everyone in activities. He is in AP math as well. In school Mitchell is involved in: SRC, drama, musicals, yearbook, choir, Saint of the Month committee, and has won an award for his acting last year. Mitchell is a role model for school spirit and encourages others to get involved. He plays music for SHHS masses, is a part of the music ministry, and helps with masses and liturgies. Mitchell is also involved with community band and is joining St. Gerard's choir.
