Each month a male and a female student is selected as the SHHS Saint of the Month. Saint of the Month students are nominated by staff and students of SHHS. The selection is based on: Demonstrating Christian Values, School work, School Involvement, Leadership, and Community Involvement.
Kristen has a great sense of humour and a positive attitude. She always brings smiles to the faces of staff and students. Kristen was involved with helping the Jr. girls volleyball team serving as an assistant coach while Mr. Chisholm was away and helped the Jr. boys team as well. She always works hard in class and maintains a high average. Kristen consistently asks questions when she does not understand, is highly involved in her classes and sets a good example for her classmates. She can be found playing on the soccer, volleyball, basketball, and badminton teams. She is involved with musical and Kristen has coached community soccer as well. Kristen is a very positive rookie leader for the Sr. volleyball and soccer teams. She will be looked upon as a leader for the years to come. Kristen attends St. Gerard's parish.
Jaedon smiles and says hello to everyone. He is not afraid to talk to anyone, nor try new things and get others involved. Jaedon is in French immersion and is on the 80% honour roll. In school, you can find Jaedon playing on the Sr. volleyball, and golf teams, he is involved in robotics (where he attended nationals last year), band, rock band and as a drummer for musical. He finds time to work at Sportmart as well. Jaedon does things that might be considered "uncool" and is not afraid to do this, bringing many others with him to join in. He attends St. Gerard's parish every week, where he was an alter server, is a member of the youth group, he plays drums in the choir and attended Rock the Mount.
Congratulations to Kristen Jonassen and Jaedon Pellat for winning Saint of the Month for October.
