Each month a male and a female student is selected as the SHHS Saint of the Month. Saint of the Month students are nominated by staff and students of SHHS. The selection is based on: Demonstrating Christian Values, School work, School Involvement, Leadership, and Community Involvement.
Brianna is an amazingly bubbly, happy person who never has a bad thing to say about anyone. She is a great leader who always looks for the good in everyone. Brianna always gives her best in classes, maintaining an average over 90% and if she doesn't understand something, she will always ask. She is in A.P. English, plays volleyball and curling, is involved in UROCK, saint of the month committee, is a retreat leader, helps on the family farm, and works at M&M meats. Brianna is a leader on the volleyball team and has won player of the game at recent tournaments. She gives great ideas for activities in UROCK and takes initiatives in groups. She also helps out at St. Gerard's whenever she can.
Dylan always smiles and waves at people in the hallways at school. He has a great outside voice, always participating in class discussions. Dylan also has a great sense of humour which he loves to share with others. He is heavily involved in Sacred Heart in volleyball, football, badminton, curling, golf, floor hockey, and intramural sports. Dylan works at Hearn's Pharmacy, and worked at a golf course this summer. Dylan always shows leadership on all sports teams he is part of and cheers his team-mates on with his loud booming voice! You can find him setting up and taking down for school masses and he leads vacation Bible school each summer at his church.
Congratulations to Brianna Ostafie and Dylan Johnson for winning Saint of the Month for September.
