The recent seniors regular meeting planned Noon Pot Luck Luncheons for June 20, July 18 and August 18. The last Monday of the month at 3:30 p.m. is designated as birthday party for anyone with a birthday in the month. The dates for the summer birthdays are: June 27, July 25 and August 29. St. Augustines Anglican Church worship is at 9:00 a.m. on Sundays unless otherwise indicated. The coffee fellowship time continues. Note that July 31 is a Deanery service in Canora at 11:00 a.m. with pot blessing lunch to follow. There is no other service in the deanery. Mark your calendar for Sunday, August 28, 3:00 p.m. service at St. Asaph's, Llewellyn Anglican Church followed by pot blessing cold plate.
Saltcoats Beautification Committee have added about 40 new (Linden trees) saplings to High Street. Some Mountain Ash were added as well. The Saltcoats teachers helped plant over half of the trees as well as cleaned up in the Century Garden. Thanks to the teacher for helping out on strike days. The Sara Williams workshop was well received.
A Father's Day Turkey Supper, with trimmings, is planned from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. at Saltcoats and District Town Hall, $10.00 each, preschoolers free, on Sunday June 19. Local take out available if call Val at 306-744-2906. If anyone is able to help with the prep or Sunday serving of the endeavor, call Geri at 306-744-2969. In addition to the supper, upstairs, at 5:30 p.m. in the Tartan Room, there will be a power point presentation of flowers etc., given by Joan Wilson.
Saltcoats United Church worship is at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, June 19. The fourth Sunday of the month, June 26, is worship in one place in the whole Four Town Pastoral Charge and it is at Bredenbury at 10:00 a.m. Mark your calendars for Sunday, July 10, 11:00 a.m. for the annual Castleton service with pot luck lunch to follow.
