Sometime ago, (2010) there was an open house at the local library and the Agricultural Society photo albums were open for perusal. At the event there came about 4 boxes of $H material from the years 1947 to 1980. This has evolved into more albums and inserting pages. One interesting item - 1956 sale of calf club calf to Pool by Ken Torrie at 171/2 cents a pound. Would you believe there was a potato club in 1962 & the program and lunch committee for achievement day was Shirley Price, Herb Rooke, Dave Work and Marj Ellingboe! These are planned to be available at the Culture Day.
Mark your calendars for Sat., Nov. 17 at Saltcoats Community Hall for the United Church Fall Supper.
