The Yorkton Salvation Army’s Christmas Kettle Campaign has reached $43,494 so far.
The goal for 2017 was to raise $135,000 for the Christmas campaign, says Lieutenant Samuel Tim of the Yorkton Salvation Army. They moving a bit slower than they would like, he admits.
“We are a bit behind, we could use a bit of help.”
They are also still in need of toys. Tim says that the most pressing need for toys is in the most difficult age bracket, age 11-14.
“That’s always a tough one.”
Toys are accepted at any time, but to help put something under the tree this Christmas they need toys by December 15. If any toys are not used this Christmas, they will be kept for next year.
