Scales, Hair and Fur

Fins, Feathers & Fur celebrated its 5th anniversary Saturday. To help support the organizations that have supported Karen Dunlop’s business over the past five years, she involved them with the celebration. Yorkton Animal Rescue Team put on the bake sale, the S.P.C.A. put on the barbeque, Guardian Angel Animal Resuce held a raffle and D&P Reptile Rescue came from Roblin to showcase their rescues. Dave and Pam started their rescue 3 years ago and have grown since, currently caring for 14 snakes, 9 lizards, 8 turtles, 3 tarantulas and 2 scorpions. Gracelyn Dahl mustered up enough courage to give Curly, an Argentinian Black and White Tegu a stroke on the back. D&P Rescue goes where needed to give reptiles a second chance, as well as to educate the importance of reptiles and insects in our ecosystems.
