The annual general meeting of SEER (the Saskatchewan East Enterprise Region) will be held at Yorkton's Painted Hand Casino on Tuesday, June 7.
As part of Canada's Tourism Awareness Week (June 5 to 11), the guest speaker at this year's meeting will be Dr. Lynda Haverstock, president/CEO of Tourism Saskatchewan and the province's former Lieutenant Governor.
"Dr. Haverstock will provide food for thought on tourism's connection to all areas of business and commerce and to the essential role played by citizens," says Susan Parkin with Tourism Saskatchewan.
"Significant benefits are realized when there is a commitment to building vibrant, inviting communities through tourism investment."
In addition, SEER will be seeking to fill six open positions on its board of directors at the AGM.
Nominations must be submitted prior to the meeting.
Supper begins at the Painted Hand Casino on June 7 at 6 pm. Tickets are $20, and can be obtained by calling (306) 728-2740.
