The Parkland Valley District of the Saskatchewan Seniors Fitness Association hosted a Kaiser tournament on April 28 and a cribbage tournament on May 4, 2011, both at St. Gerard's Hall in Yorkton. Twenty-four seniors competed in the Kaiser tournament. The gold medal winners were Bernard and Mary Wozniak.
Siver medalists were John Gulutzan and Shirley Kushneruk and bronze medalists were Angie Van Parys and Anne Yuzik. Thirty-two seniors participated in the cribbage tournament which consisted of 12 games of cribbage for each two-person team. Participants were from Churchbridge, Canora, and Yorkton.
Lunch was served at noon and the medals were distributed after completion of the tournament. Gold medal winners were Helen Dingwall and Rose Broda from Yorkton; silver medalists were Lucille Kotzer and Hilda Zorn from Yorkton; and, bronze medalists were Jeannette Hryhoriw from Yorkton and Maxine Stinka from Canora. A number of door prizes were also awarded. All participants enjoyed meeting new people, playing cards, visiting with old friends, and eating good food.
