The Yorkton Rotarians raised money this past weekend for Shelterbox, a disaster relief organization that provides shelter, clean water and lifesaving equipment immediately following a disaster. This organization, founded in 2000 by Rotarian Tom Henderson has responded to over 120 disasters in over 65 countries since its initiation. The Rotarians raised personal and corporate pledges to sleep overnight for two nights in tents in the Western Financial City Centre Park. The event concluded Saturday morning with a pancake breakfast.
