Each month a male and a female student is selected as the SHHS Saint of the Month. Saint of the Month students are nominated by staff and students of SHHS. The selection is based on: Demonstrating Christian Values, School work, School Involvement, Leadership, and Community Involvement. The female September student of the month was Bailey Melnychuk.
Bailey is a sensational individual who is very energetic and happy. She helps others with their homework and problems both in and out of school, giving helpful advice to those who need it. Bailey makes Sacred Heart a more welcoming place and she is described as shy, but once you get to know her, she is a total sweetheart. Bailey tries hard in all her classes, always getting her homework and assignments done and in on time. She maintains a good average, is very productive and is great in art class. You can find Bailey babysitting, helping students around Sacred Heart, helping with the church and is a grade 10 student who speaks out about what is right. Bailey leads her group of friends to happiness, always stepping out and speaking up, by showing a great work ethic and shows what determination is. Bailey regularly attends St. Gerard’s church, helping out when she can.
