The Cab Female Athlete of the month is a member of the Sacred Heart Cross Country team and the Sacred Heart Soccer team. At the Duck Mountain Cross Country meet she won gold and at the Cherrydale meet she also won gold. At Districts in a very close race she finished second. On the soccer team this athlete leads the team in scoring. In 10 games that she has played she has scored an amazing 26 goals and set up 5 more despite always being shadowed closely by her opponents. This athlete has also tried out for the Provincial soccer team that will compete at the Canada Games next summer in Quebec. There were 107 players at the tryouts, she has received very positive feedback from the coaches and she is very hopeful to one the 18 chosen to represent Saskatchewan. The Cab Male Athlete of the Month for September is a member of the Sacred Heart Golf team and the Jr. Boys Volleyball team. On the Volleyball team he plays the difficult position of setter. His coach says he brings a lot of intelligence and leadership to the court. On the golf team he competed in the Yorkton Regional golf tournament where he shot a 74 to win the tournament. Junior Golf Districts were held at Good Spirit where he shot a 75 and won district gold. He also took part in senior golf Districts at Madge Lake shooting an 81 to win gold again. This athlete then advanced to Provincials with 73 golfers competing. In Round one he shot a 79 and an 82 in Round two which gave him a tenth place finish out of 73! That is remarkable considering this athlete is only in Grade 9. The Cab Athlete of the month goes to Kade Johnson.
