The Big Brothers Big Sisters of Yorkton and Area held their first Soap Box Derby on Sunday, September 27. The event saw six teams compete, five from Big Brothers Big Sisters club, as well as one family team running their own custom-made car. Irma Van de Bon-Nichol with Big Brothers Big Sisters says that the plan is to make this an annual event, with more teams from the community next year.
