Construction of Yorkton's forth Habitat for Humanity home kicked off Friday with an official sod-turning ceremony held at 130 Tupper Avenue in Yorkton. Pictured from left to right, are Habitat for Humanity Regina CEO Dennis Coutts, Yorkton MLA Greg Ottenbreit, home recipient Shannon Crook, Habitat for Humanity Yorkton project manager Merv Catchuk and Yorkton mayor Bob Maloney. The Crook family, surrounded by family, friends and coworkers, celebrated the start of construction of their new home at the official sod-turning ceremony held Friday. Shannon Crook and her children Daris, 11, Shaelyn, 8, and Hunter, almost 2, are the latest home recipients through Habitat for Humanity in Yorkton. Located at 130 Tupper Avenue, the family's new home is expected to be completed by Christmas. "It's really beginning and we're very excited," says Shannon.
