The Health Foundation is very pleased to be able to announce that Information Services Corporation (ISC) is returning as the sponsor of the Learn to Run clinics.
"ISC has supported many of our fundraising programs assisting us to raise money for new medical equipment in the past. We are very pleased they will be working with us to support our annual Charity Road Race and the Learn to Run clinics. They are making a substantial commitment to The Health Foundation with this $2,500 sponsorship," said Ross Fisher, Executive Director of The Health Foundation.
The running clinics have proven to be very popular, and if we are to continue to hold them annually we need to have ongoing sponsorship; so we are very pleased to have ISC continue to work with us. Last year when ISC became the Clinics sponsor we were able to expand the Clinics, and that was very well received. Once again we will be delivering three running clinics: one for beginners, a 10 km clinic, and a half marathon clinic for those who already run.
"We wanted to keep our clinic for beginners, because it is very important to us to have that entry point for people who don't run, but would like to introduce an element of fitness into their life style. We know it is often much easier to begin when you participate with others who are at the same level you are", said Ross Fisher Executive Director of The Health Foundation.
"Through ISC's Community Investment program, ISC is very happy to support The Health Foundation," said Ashley Dopko, Communications Coordinator, Information Services Corporation. "ISC gives 1.5 percent of net income back to the community, focusing on activities and non-profit organizations that support life events, Saskatchewan growth and Saskatchewan history. "This event fits in perfectly with our corporate goals, and helps us to do something very positive for people," said Ms. Dopko.
Through this program, ISC is also supporting The Health Foundation's Charity Road Race, which raises funds to purchase medical equipment. This year The Health Foundation is raising funds for new diagnostic equipment for the Yorkton Regional Hospital.
