The annual Spring Expo will be held in Yorkton this week at the Gallagher Centre.
Shaun Morin, general manager of the Yorkton Exhibition Association, who co-sponsor with the local Lions Club, said the Expo remains popular as a way for people to get out in the spring weather.
And it remains a place exhibitors want to be, as more than 150 displays are expected.
The Expo will be held this Friday through Sunday.
An always popular event at the Expo will be the exotic animal sale to be held Sunday at 1 p.m.
“There’s a ton of them (sale entries),” said Morin, adding the sale is always a big drawer. “… There’s always a large crowds. The sales are really strong.”
Also starting Thursday is the Yorkton 4-H Spring Steer & Heifer Show.
More than 200 4-H members, their families and 170 calves representing 20 4-H clubs across Saskatchewan are expected to attend the show.
“The event is the largest spring 4-H calf Show in Western Canada and continues to be one of the toughest competitions anywhere,” said event Chairman Craig Boake in a release.
The 4-H members will be competing in a Jackpot Show on Friday and an open 4-H Show on Saturday as well as various team competitions and a judging competition.
All the events are held in the Agri-pavilion and Industrial Building on the Exhibition grounds. This year it is in conjunction with Yorkton Spring Expo.
