This photo is of the first confirmation class of Reverend Rudolph Jacob Busch after his arrival in Yorkton in November of 1958. Confirmation classes usually begin in September with weekly classes until May or June for two years, The actual confirmation ceremony usually takes place around the time of Pentecost in early June. However because Rev. Busch didn’t begin at the church until November of this class’ second year, they experienced an intense but thorough six months of classes held twice weekly after school and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. with a half hour for lunch. The participants accepted the faith into which they had been born and baptized , thereby graduating into full membership of St. Paul Lutheran Church.
