Three high school students who qualified for the 17th Annual Skills Canada National Competition in Quebec City over the weekend are back in Yorkton.

Gage Bush of YRHS competed as a solo entrant against five teams in the 3D Animation category. Given two days to create an animated film based on the theme of "clowning around," Bush produced an action-filled comedy short set around a circus to win third place.

Nicoli Ochitwa and Jaedon Pellatt, two students of Sacred Heart High School, took part in the Robotics competition. Their ball-throwing robot brought them to the playoffs, where they were eventually defeated for a sixth-place finish.
