Stan Stephenson presented a cheque for $5,000 to Ross Fisher, Executive Director of The Health Foundation, to help fund the building of a new regional hospital. Stephenson made the contribution on behalf of himself and his late wife Lena.

"Both Lena and I were very well cared for by the Yorkton Regional Hospital over the years, and we appreciated the warm care by the staff. This $5,000 donation is a special thank you for the good care we have received. I know this donation is something Lena would really have wanted to do. Both of us always understood that you need to give to your community to help build it and make it a good place to live," said Stephenson.

The Health Foundation has done a really good job of buying new equipment and helping to improve patient care. I want to support their work by making an early donation to the new hospital. I think anyone can see that a new hospital will have a huge benefit for everyone who lives in this region," said Stephenson.

"This is very generous and we are very pleased that Mr. Stephenson has chosen to make this contribution. We are not campaigning for funds to build the new hospital yet, so it is wonderful that Stan has come forward in advance of that with this donation, said Fisher.
