The man wanted by police for a bank robbery in Invermay and other crimes was arrested last week in Alberta.
Tyler Darren Leeder, 26, of Lethbridge, AB surrendered to police at a hotel in Rocky Mountain House on April 3 after being cornered by officers. Calgary police dispatched an armored vehicle to assist in the arrest.
A 17-year-old girl who had been traveling with Leeder was also taken into custody.
Leeder is the man believed responsible for an armed robbery at an Invermay bank on March 30. He is thought to have escaped road blocks set up that day in a truck stolen from Perdue, SK.
On April 1, the same truck was involved in an incident in which an RCMP car was rammed twice at a routine traffic stop near Irricana, AB, disabling the car and causing minor injuries to the officer inside.
Leeder was also wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for armed robberies in Wadena, SK and Somerset, MB, as well as for a parole violation.
