A 15-year-old Yorkton resident has been arrested in connection to the robbery and assault of an 80-year-old woman last week.
The youth, who cannot be named, was charged with aggravated assault, theft, and several criminal charges on unrelated matters. At a July 5 court appearance, he was remanded into custody until July 16.
Eighty-year-old Eleanor Kreklewetz was robbed and pushed to the ground while walking home from the Parkland Mall on July 2. She suffered a broken jaw and a fractured arm. The incident occurred during daylight hours.
The 15-year-old suspect in the case was out on bail at the time from other break-and-enter and mischief incidents.
