Yorkton Council approved another tender in the ongoing work related to the City's new water treatment plant.
The last contract covers decommissioning work which consists of the demolition of the following facilities; Borden St. Facilities, Park ST. Facilities, West Broadways Facilities and WTP No. 4 Backwash Tank.
The City received six tenders on the work, the lowest to Curtis Construction for $232,050.
A report by Associated Engineering gave a summary of the bid results. Their recommendation is to award the contract to the low bidder, Curtis Construction for a lump sum price of $232,050 with a completion date of 90 calendar days. It is also recommended to include a contingency of $67,950 which results in an overall budget of $300,000.
Council unanimously approved the recommendation.
