People sweep plugged storm drains with rakes at the intersection of North St. and Gladstone Ave. N. following a downpour on July 11. Police were called to block the road off after vehicles continued to drive through the water forcing more water at the houses. People living in the area say the city has replaced a manhole cover with a storm grate, added another storm drain, and recently cut out part of a median to reduce the amount of flooding, but it is not enough, "The city really needs to be willing to seriously address the issue of flooding." City workers, police and firemen blocked off the flooded region between Smith St. W. and Broadway St. W. on Maple Ave.
