At the Godfrey Dean Gallery: Memory Eternal: Ukrainian Orthodox Church Interiors - July 9 to Sept. 7, 2012. Wynyard photographer Ed Stachyruk has been quietly documenting the interiors of tiny and often hidden Orthodox Catholic churches. An integral part of the settler experience, they will one day vanish and become part of folklore rather than living experience. Ed Stachyruk's photographs, crafted with careful attention to detail, offer an homage to this visual and spiritual heritage, part of the fabric of southeast Saskatchewan that is slowly fading away. Mon.-Fri. 11 a.m. - 5 p.m.; Sat. and Sun. 1-4 p.m.; 49 Smith St. E. Yorkton, SK. Admission is always free! www.deangallery.ca

The Clothesline® Program is asking for the public's assistance in finding an individual or business to accept and store clothing donations received through our efforts. Any space will be considered and we are hoping to secure storage for 300-500 bags/ boxes of donated clothing (bags are standard 67L garbage bags). 100 per cent of all net proceeds raised by the Clothesline® program directly benefit the Canadian Diabetes Association and world leading diabetes research, education and advocacy. Last year alone, the Canadian Diabetes Association provided approximately $7 million to diabetes research. Please know that your assistance in provided storage is a meaningful contribution toward supporting the more than 9 million Canadians living with diabetes or prediabetes. Should you have any questions regarding Clothesline® and our Attended Drop Box/Stations program, please contact: Diane Gerrard, at (306) 569-9025.
