The Godfrey Dean Art Gallery presents Primal Nature an exhibition of paintings by Jeanette Marshall. Originally from a farm near Russell, MB and now living in Windsor, Jeanette returns to the family home each year and paints the evocative qualities of earth, air, wind and water that shape her spirit. Brain injury is the number ONE cause of death and disability among children and youth. Each year, 2200 brain injuries occur in the province. To raise awareness of this preventable epidemic, the Saskatchewan Brain Injury Association (SBIA) will hold the 9th Annual Positive Steps Walk-a-thon to be held on September 10. It will also raise funds to enhance the quality of life for those living with an acquired brain injury and their families. Form a team with your friends, family or co-workers to walk, run or wheel in support of brain injury survivors. The Ukrainian Canadian Congress, Yorkton Branch will commemorate the 20th Anniversary of Ukraine's Independence, on Sun., Aug. 28. There will be a prayer service at 3:00 p.m. at the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Holy Transfiguration in Yorkton, followed by a Cultural Program at the Ukrainian Orthodox Auditorium. Beverages will be supplied, but please bring your favorite food to join in a congenial fellowship during a pot-luck supper.
