A three-coloured process postcard showing a threshing scene in Western Canada. Three women and one man pay a visit to a field to examine the crop. One is in the vehicle. It appears they are in their Sunday-best attire.

It appears they are in their Sunday-best attire. It was customary for church-attending families in those early years to abstain from working on Sunday at their regular daily occupation - seeding or harvesting, businesses, etc. There were exceptions - obligatory ranch or farm chores like milking cows and women preparing meals for family and visitors. (There were no days off for those chores.)
