Forms are now available to nominate businesses for Yorkton's Celebrate Success Business Awards. Presented by the Yorkton Chamber of Commerce, the Business Awards Ceremony will be held Wednesday, March 14 at St. Mary's Cultural Centre, Yorkton.
Dolores Harris, President of the Chamber said that the ceremony is one of the most prestigious events for the Yorkton business community. "Businesses are honoured to be nominated for an award," she said. "Being nominated means that your peers or others in the community recognize the success of your business and the contribution it makes to the community."
Amie Zamonsky, Chair of the Celebrate Success Committee agrees that the business community appreciates the opportunity to be nominated for an award. However, a business does not have to rely on someone else to nominate it. "We encourage businesses to nominate themselves to let us know about the successes they have achieved', said Zamonsky. "This is not a time to be humble."
Celebrate Success Business Awards are presented only every second year. Chamber members and non-members alike are eligible for nomination."
There are 10 categories in which a business could be nominated, including a new category this year called the Diversity Leadership Award. The award in this category will be presented to the business that best demonstrates diversity in its workplace by encouraging respect and inclusion, eliminating discrimination and barriers, and helping to create welcoming and inclusive workplaces and communities.
The Business of the Year is selected from all the nominations received in the various categories.
Nomination forms are available at the Chamber office and on the Chamber website at www.yorktonchamber.com Award sponsors also have nomination forms.
