Tourism Saskatchewan has released the names of the finalists for the 2012 Saskatchewan Tourism Awards of Excellence.
Tourism Yorkton is pleased to announce the Yorkton finalists:
Yorkton Film Festival - Online Marketing Award (Budget under $20,000)
Award Criteria: Recognizes creative and innovative online marketing campaigns that increase business and enhance Saskatchewan's visibility as a tourism destination. Selection of finalists will be based on quality of content, high levels of customer satisfaction with product offered, campaign distribution and quantitative results. If entering a specific campaign/promotion, it must be completed and evaluated prior to January 31, 2012.
Tourism Yorkton - Gil Carduner Marketing Award ( Budget under $20,000)
Award Criteria: Presented to the organization that has devised and implemented the most outstanding tourism marketing campaign or initiative. Nominations may be presented in this category for broadcast, print, or electronic media campaigns, or any combination thereof (i.e. a multi-media campaign). If entering a specific campaign/promotion, it must be completed and evaluated prior to January 31, 2011.
Yorkton Film Festival - Promotional/Marketing Campaign - Event of the Year Award (Budget under $20,000)
Award Criteria: Presented to an individual/group that has developed an event or festival that involved participants and/or spectators. This event serves as an example of excellence to other events and festivals and the greater tourism industry. This includes events that stimulate travel to Saskatchewan, and which add value to the visitor's experience. This award may include cultural, sporting or general interest events and festivals.
Congratulations to the Yorkton Film Festival and Tourism Yorkton, not only for being considered for a Tourism Award of Excellence, but for their role in the continued growth and success of the Saskatchewan Tourism Industry.
Winners will be announced at the Saskatchewan Tourism Awards of Excellence Gala on April 25, 2013 in Regina.
