Trial set in sex assault case

A Yorkton man has elected to be tried in provincial court on charges of sexual assault, administering a noxious substance and drug trafficking.

Clinton Bruce Tillman appeared before Judge Ross Green December 16 and pleaded not guilty to one charge of sexual assault, two charges of administering a noxious substance and one charge of drug trafficking.

The judge scheduled a trial for June 9, 2016.

Shane Wagner, acting as federal prosecutor on the trafficking charge and agent for the provincial Crown on the criminal code charges issued a stay of proceedings on a second count of sexual assault.

Clinton is currently released on a recognizance with several conditions including abiding by an electronic monitoring order and having no contact with children under the age of 16.

The names of the alleged victims are protected by a publication ban.
