On the evening of October 11, 2011 and into the early morning of October 12, 2011, four males went on a spree of vandalism in the city of Yorkton, SK.

The individuals had encountered police in the evening when they had been using airsoft pellet pistols to cause mischief. The weapons were seized by police. After this, they purchased slingshots and steel ball bearings from a local business and proceeded to shoot out windows of vehicles, businesses and homes, leaving 30 victims and causing thousands of dollars of damage.

Once the Yorkton Municipal RCMP were notified of the damage, they were able to identify, locate and arrest the persons responsible. The slingshots used to commit these offences have been recovered by police.

Two adult males, Chance Liebrecht and Kyle Pelletier, were charged and held for court where they pled guilty to multiple offences of mischief to property. They have since been released and the charges have been adjourned for sentencing to allow the total cost of the damages to be determined.

The other two individuals are young offenders. They have been arrested, charged and were released from police custody to the care of their parents for court at a later date.

Due to the widespread nature and volume of these offences, there may be further damage that has yet to be reported or noticed. If you notice damage to your property from around this time, you are asked to contact the Yorkton Municipal RCMP.
